Setting up the Linksys RE6800 AC1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender to Access Point mode

The first step for installing all devices remain same that is put that device which you want to set up, on power. The user should have to keep one thing in mind that during this installation process you will be needed to install Ethernet wired connection between your network router and Linksys RE6800 AC1750 WiFI range extender thus place RE6800 Linksys range extender in as proximity with network router as possible.
Before proceeding further you have to check LED status of power LED. Wait until the status of power LED turns to orange.
Establish the wired connection between your router and Linksys RE6800 range extender.
Now connect any client device such as the computer with Linksys RE6800 range extender’s default SSID, which will be Linksys Extender Setup – xxx. Here xxx means the last three characters of MAC address of RE6800 extender. MAC address will be mentioned on the label, present on the back of your extender device.
Then launch a web browser and enter “http://extender.linksys.com“ or “192.168.1.1” in the Address field of your web browser. This will launch the Linksys setup wizard.
Firstly check the box beside the I accept the End User License Agreement and then click on Start Setup.
Now you will be asked to select whether you want to install Linksys range extender as extender or access point. Select the As a wired range extender (Access point) option here and then click Next.
