Steps involved includes:

Step 1:
To carry on setup of extender, firstly you will be needed to power on your Linksys RE9000 extender and wait until LED blink orange.

Step 2:
Take any WiFi device such as computer or laptop and using this device, connect to Linksys Extender Setup, listed in available Wi-Fi networks.

Step 3:
Then launch a web browser on the device. You can use any web browser of your choice for this. Enter http://extender.linksys.com in the address field of the web browser.

Step 4:
Now click on Start Setup.

Step 5:-
Now you will be provided with option to select how do you want to use your extender. Here click on Next button, present under As a wireless range extender.

Step 6:
By default, extender will take 5 GHz WiFi for upstream connection and list available 5 GHz networks, to choose from.

If in case you do not have 5 GHz WiFi then choose Choose 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band option by scrooling down.

Step 7:
You will be asked to enter password for the network you had selected. By entering the same, click on Next .

Step 8:
Then click on Next.

Now with the help of Spot Finder page, check out the best place to place your Linksys RE9000 extender.

Step 10:
Next, you will be required to change password of your Linksys RE9000 and then Save settings.

Step 11:
At the end you will be required to register your Linksys RE9000 range extender. Click on Next once done.

Step 12:
Now you can connect your wireless devices to this new Wi-Fi network.
